MRI and Cryogenic Temperature Sensing with the PRB-242 Fiber Optic Temperature Probe
Blog Image

OSENSA Innovations is introducing a new fiber optic phosphor-based temperature sensor that is ideal for applications requiring high tesla imaging. The PRB-242 uses 200-micron fiber for measuring temperature between -110° C and +150° C, to sense temperature of MRI electrodes, cryogenic tissues, ablation, induction heating and small electronic components.

Probe diameter of 500 microns with sensor 0.5mm from tip
Fast response time of only 180 msec
Little or no MRI image artifact
MRI compatible with magnetic fields up to 16 Tesla with no temperature shift
