Burnaby, British Columbia – OSENSA Innovations Corp. (“OSENSA”) is pleased to announce the EdgePi industrial computer with integrated PLC (programmable logic controller) ideal for process control, automation, and IOT (internet of things) applications.

EdgePi controllers combine features of a PLC and IOT device by seamlessly integrating multi-channel analog and digital inputs and outputs with a user-friendly cloud portal for remote configuration, data capture, historical trending, and alarm notifications. No programming is required to configure and report channel data. Simply create an EdgePi account, login to the portal, register your EdgePi device, and see data captured to the cloud in real-time.

Each of the eight input and eight output channels are individually configured to either analog or digital mode and operate over a wide voltage range with high resolution. The EdgePi also has a dedicated thermocouple input, 3-wire RTD input, two isolated RS-485 serial ports, and two output channels that can be configured for PWM (pulse width modulation) mode. The EdgePi includes a high-precision, 3 parts per million real-time clock, internal relay, eight programmable indicator LEDs, and a variable speed fan enabling full CPU performance at 65˚C ambient. For school and lab projects, the EdgePi also includes an isolated SPI (serial peripheral interface) port and an I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) port. Finally, the EdgePi is CE, UL, and FCC approved for installation in strict industrial environments.

Inside the EdgePi Pro a is powerful Raspberry Pi4 compute module with 8GB of RAM, 32GB of EMMC Flash and integrated Wi-Fi. The EdgePi Lite has 4GB RAM and boots from an external micro-SD card which can be up to 512Gb in size. Both models include dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual USB 3.0 ports, and a 4K HDMI monitor port.
