Companies that manufacture control and monitoring systems for medium voltage applications, such as switchgear and bus bars, are adding temperature sensing to their systems.   These sensors provide real-time temperature data, enabling operators to maximize load efficiency and balance thermal stresses that can lead to catastrophic failures. OSENSA's FTX-001 is in the industry's smallest form factor, less than 25% the size of competitive solutions, enabling OEMs to build custom module or card solutions that are easily integrated into their existing systems.  Some applications include PLCs, RTUs and SCADA servers. The result is a differentiated product that is highly integrated, enabling Transmission and Distribution companies to optimize maintenance schedules and extend equipment lifetime.
