OSENSA Innovations Corp. has come a long way since its acquisition of a high-tech opto-mechanical design consulting company founded in 2002. Today OSENSA is recognized as a leading developer of customized fiber optic sensing products for industrial applications. OSENSA currently provides products and services to companies ranging from telecommunications suppliers to power generation manufacturers and medical equipment start-ups. Our technology has been applied to space applications, solar power generation, commercial lighting and homeland security. Recently, OSENSA focused its team of engineers on the development of a range of fiber optic sensing products intended to satisfy the growing demands of large equipment manufacturers. OSENSA’s industrial fiber optic temperature sensor products boast the highest performance specifications in the industry and provide a significant strategic advantage over competitive offerings.

President - Daryl James
Daryl JamesDaryl James is a professional engineer who has spent the last 15 years of his career contributing to the early success and growth of high-technology engineering and manufacturing start-up companies. Mr. James has a strong technical background in precision opto-mechanical systems, and is named as an inventor on a number of patents. Mr. James enjoys solving complex technical challenges by seeking the simplest solution and shortest path to success. This philosophy carries over into the way he manages OSENSA, in a very straightforward, lean and disciplined fashion. His passion for optical technology and business innovation allow him to create value and find opportunities in a wide range of markets.
Chief Technology Officer - Peter Rizun
Peter RizunPeter Rizun is the Chief Technology Officer at Osensa Innovations Corp. He holds a B.A.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics (British Columbia) and a Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics (Calgary). He was the recipient of the $105,000 Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) CGS Doctoral Award and was recognized as a “Leader of Tomorrow” by the Alberta Science and Technology Foundation (ASTech). He did graduate work on haptic telerobotic surgery (Project neuroArm), but wrote his thesis on the novel algorithms he developed for inertial/magnetic orientation sensing. His Ph.D. research has generated over $4 million in revenue via its commercialization for body-motion tracking and gait analysis by companies in Canada, USA, and Germany.
